Van Isle Live Music Preservation Society (VILMPS)
The VILMPS was formed in March of 2004. Its aim is to develop, encourage, present and sustain traditional jazz, swing, and other forms of live music on Vancouver Island and in British Columbia. The Victoria Hot Jazz Jubilee is the main event of the Society along with presenting occasional evenings of live music locally throughout the year.
Membership
By joining VILMPS you will receive a discount on all the events presented by the Society, including the Victoria Hot Jazz Jubilee All Event Badges, special member-only functions and a bi-monthly newsletter. How else can you help?
Needless to say, a new or old festival always needs financial support. You can help in a few ways:
- Buy your All Event Badges early.
- Sponsor a Band. Some dedicated fans are getting a group of 10 together and each one donating $100 towards the sponsorship of their favorite band. Their support will be acknowledged in the program, and on numerous signs throughout the venues.
- Call or write the Festival Directors for information on the various levels of Festival Sponsorship that are available.
- Volunteer! Sign up to be a volunteer here.
